Jannsen Font was developed from 2009 to 2011. I found inspiration for the font from Estonian font design, and it is particularly inspired by "Üldlaulupeo Teataja" title font design from the year 1949. It is named after Johann Voldemar Jannsen, who was the initiator, the main promoter and general manager of the first nation-wide song festival in Estonia. The first nation-wide song festival took place in June 1869 in Tartu, Estonia.
